And for my first installment...HI.
Today the BD/USM swimmers are heading for the Watertown Invite to compete against the reigning D2 State Champion McFarland, North Shore power, Cedarburg, and perennial D1 State qualifier and host Watertown in our annual pre-Christmas competition. This is a good meet for the coaches as kind of a pre-test to evaluate the athletes before the "all important" Christmas break workouts. The coaches have not rested their athletes for this meet, so this should be interesting.
Thanks for visiting and I'll be back after the meet to offer my first hand views.

Dear coach,
ReplyDeleteI am also looking forward to the meet at Watertown. More importantly, however, I am pleased to see that you have opened yourself to technology and made a blog. I am currently sitting on the bus to Watertown next to Michael Short. I take a pause to listen to the sounds around me: the hum of the engine, the constant chatter from Bob, and the wind whistling through a crack in one of the windows on the bus. I take a moment to reflect on my thoughts as Dougie draws nearer to ask me what I ate for breakfast. My mind immediately drifts to the breakfast I had this morning. Douggie interrupts, "What'd you have for breakfast?" I respond with "a large bowl of cheerios with banana and a ham sandwich." Dougie then asks me "what'd you drink?" I confidently respond "a glass of water." Dougie walks away feeling defeated because he could not yell at me for eating a bad breakfast. I love bus rides!
